Our Story

In 2024, I got married, and while it super fun, planning a South Asian wedding not in South Asian, well made me want to rip out my hair. Sound like you? Don’t stress, it’s a terrible “right of passage” that I am hoping to change.

I did the whole doom scrolling through Instagram, digging through wedding blogs, and asking friends for referrals so that you don’t have to. Like what is the point of the internet if things aren’t EASIER to find.

That experience sparked something in me.

I realized there needed to be a better way, a space where couples could discover trusted, culturally aligned vendors all in one place. So I created Ispyar, a curated database of South Asian wedding vendors in the DMV & NYC/NJ area. The mission, the vision, the north star is to make wedding planning easier, more fun, and a lot less stressful.

Every vendor on Ispyar has been carefully vetted for quality, professionalism, and cultural fluency. No scammers here. We did the homework so you don’t have to.
